This slope avalanche at least 2 times earlier this season. Since the slab had been removed previously, the early-season facet layer remained exposed all season. This slope is not very representative of many backcountry features nearby.

Avalanche

It appears a group of 3 skiers triggered and escaped from this avalanche on an easterly-facing slope along a northeasterly-trending ridgeline. The avalanche broke around 1-2 feet deep, releasing on early season facets.
