Weather

Very warm temperatures reaching high 30's low 40's F. Clear sky and Moderate winds with occasional Strong gusts at ridgeline. Moderate snow transport throughout the day

Snowpack

Sunny slopes have wet surface snow that will quickly develop into a Melt-Freeze crust (MFcr) and a shallow buried MFcr about 5-10cm below the surface. North and northeast-facing shady slopes hold thin wind slabs on top of a thick (30-50cm) layer of weak, faceted snow. Snow pack tests did not show any unstable results on this weak layer but it will not take much additional loading until we see avalanche activity on these northerly slopes.

Avalanche

Some small skier-triggered Loose Dry avalanches on northeast-facing slopes.
