Weather

Single digit to teen temps with light west winds at 9400ft. Broken to overcast skies at times. Some light wind transport of surface snow.

Snowpack

9400ft, east aspect, 190cm snow depth. recent storm snow is sitting on near surface facets, some well developed with chains of striated crystals, looking very much like depth hoar. Repeated medium and hard CT (RP) results down 40cms. A few propagating ECTs also on that same layer in the medium to hard range. PST 30/100 END on the same suspect 40cm down layer. Rutschblock test had some movement on that same layer as well (RB4, MB). Ran some deep tap tests on a suspect basal facet layer with repeated no results (DTN) Some localized collapses and whumphs but were rare.
