Avalanche

Large avalanche triggered by skier S/SE aspect. Skier was second skier of the day on slope. Slope had been skied by another party several times on the previous day under similar conditions. Slab broke full width between rock bands and ran for about 1000’. Crown was about 2.5’ deep and slide stepped down to ground in several places along the bed. Skier was alerted of avalanche and skied quickly out of danger. Reminding skiers removed skis and down climbed / hiked to lower terrain along ridge line. No injuries but definitely spooked.
