Snowpack

HS 290cm on W aspect just below treeline. Open but protected tree area. Top meter of snow was right side up, with top at fist transitioning down 4f and then to 1f. Shovel sheer produced Q1 results at 25cm, 55cm and 80cm from surface. Likely on small facets on both layers (loop was in the car). CTHQ2 at 25cm, DTMQ1 at 80cm. No ECT conducted. Boot pen 40cm. Ski pen 15cm. Any slightly solar aspect had a crust layer below treeline. Key ob: no dust in the pack.
