Warm afternoon above 11,000 feet. Sky cleared around 11:30am and winds died down.
Snowpack
The snow surface got warm and moist by 12:30pm on south and southeast-facing aspects. The snow below treeline on east through southeast to south-facing aspects is still unconsolidated and it is hard to find a slab. There is a distinct harder wind layer nder the fresh snow and below that is mostly faceted. There are a few layers of near-surface faceted crystals in the snowpack in above treeline areas. The most well pronounced and weakest is buried about 60cm from the surface. There is still plenty of depth hoar to be found in the bottom of the snowpack on east through southeast to south-facing aspects as well.
