Avalanche

Snowpack near treeline a mix of incohesive facets top to bottom, or very hard (P to K) wind-drifted snow on top of facets. I got a collapse while traveling across an area of drifted snow, in the willow-filled flats above a ridge. The avalanche released on a slope about 100 feet below me. The avalanche was very hard, drifted snow, two to three feet, about 100 feet wide, and ran less than 50 vertical feet (HS-ASr-R2D1-O). It slid on faceted snow near the ground.
