Little Sifton

Hi everyone. This is my 1st time entry on MCR. I had a quick trip to Little Sifton today. To get the Grizzly Shoulder, there were many tracks leading to the Grizzly Knob. The track just below the rock band was quite slippery. The west traverse from Grizzly Shoulder to Little Sifton basin didn't have much wind effect. 20-30cm low density snow was on top of 5cm thick supportive wind crust. This low density snow was consistent at the basin to just below the Sifton Col. Then, I found Compression Test Moderate Sudden Collapse down 36cm below the 7cm thick wind crust on N aspect at 2650m. Below this wind crust, there were some 2-4mm Surface Hoar and a lot of Faceted crystals still living. Skiing down was on supported terrain was fantastic. There was an evidence of wind slab Size 1 that someone triggered on the steep terrain of SE aspect below Grizzly Shoulder around 1950m. I hope that this information gets someone useful.
