Weather

Cold and windy. Mostly cloudy with brief periods of sun poking through.

Snowpack

About 4 to 5 inches of new snow. Exposed areas all show signs of wind effect even in some below treeline areas. The alpine slopes looks pretty ravaged. Average height of snow in this shallow part of the zone sits at roughly 115cm. The mid-pack slab is generally 1F hard and supportable to skis. This was not the case even a few weeks ago.

Avalanche

A couple recent avalanches on below treeline northeast-facing terrain. They looks to be a few days old.
