Weather

High thin cloud cover and S to SE winds all morning, calming in the afternoon and becoming sunnny.

Snowpack

We did not ski the area but there was 6 to 8 inches of new snow that fell March 3rd.

Avalanche

Another group skinned and skied the slope on the 5th prior to the avalanche. We observed it on our way out from the zone across the valley on the 7th. Not sure when exactly it released. Appears to be a wind slab. A large portion of the other groups skin track was part of the avalanche which is concerning.
