Mostly cloudy skies with periods of light snow throughout the day. Max temps in the teens with southwest winds averaging 10-20 mph and gusts 40-50 mph. Storm total came in on the low end of anticipated amounts; 18" of new snow with 2.3" of water content.
Snowpack
High density new snow provided solid travel conditions. Ski penetration was only about 10-15cm.
Avalanche
Visibility was too poor today for observing recent natural avalanche activity, but several significant naturally released slabs were observed in the Wolf Creek drainage (N aspects below treeline).
