Location: Swamp Angel Study Plot Aspect: NE Elevation: 11,050' wx notes: onset of precip around 1300 (S1). sheltered from free wind, light out of west with an occasional moderate gust.

Snowpack

Thanksgiving storm acts as the interface between our PWL old snow and generally newer snow on top. The slab sitting above has started to loose cohesion, reducing energy transfer into our PWL. Tests are showing false stable tendencies with respect to propagation but the profile identifies other flags that argue to the contrary.

Avalanche

Red 3, south shoulder @ TL (lookers right of skier triggered slide observed Monday by Jeff).. NW slope. Observed from HWY. SS-U-R2D2-U. SZ Dimension: .5x15m. Track continued 20m and then out of sight.
