Weather
AM snow S2 gave way to clear skies mid morning, around 9:30am. Sustained light to moderate winds from SW shifting towards W causing moderate transport above TL, some transport happening BtL. Temps dropped during morning.
Snowpack
HST Eureka valley bottom 13". New snow was low density and easily transported. Significant loading to NE start zones above TL and near TL occurred all morning.
Avalanche
Observed from whorehouse hoses across the valley near Eureka gulch. Heard and saw it go around 10am; can not see bottom of path, but appears to be a fairly sizable storm slab R3D3 (? Estimated from portion of start zone I could see. Could be as small as R2D2, but likely bigger) NE aspect ATL, freshly wind loaded start zone near a ridgeline, looks like it broke on an old/new interface and not ground, would estimate depth at around one meter. Numerous smaller storm slabs and wind slabs in steep/Rocky E and NE features, near and below TL, mostly size 2 and smaller, observed on drive out from Eureka.
