Weather
Overcast before sunrise with light snow, changing to mostly cloudy with periods of shaded sun. 11,2k feet, S/SE aspect, Berthoud Pass first drainage (110's area).
Snowpack
South/Southeast Aspect at ~11,2k feet. New snow (not distinct crystals, slightly blobby) deposited on existing snowpack. Faceted layers, sugary snow felt underneath with pole probes. Could feel intermittent solid wind slabs underfoot with areas of noticeably collapsing snow. No whoomphing audible. Cracking evident on skin track on slower slope angles (<20deg). Tried attaching photo, but not accepting file type (JPG?).
