Weather

I recorded 15" of total storm snow with 1.1" SWE near the seasonal closure on the east side of Independence Pass/HWY 82. Strong winds from the W/NW for 48 hours.

Recently formed wind slabs and cornice growth.

Avalanche

East aspect, near tree line above closed portion of Independence Pass on the east side.
