Clear, sunny, no wind. W/NW slope, 40 degrees. 10600 ft. Below tree line in small interspaced fir trees

Snowpack

~12" of Loose dry wind deposited storm snow on top of more consolidated snow. No slabs, collapsing or other signs of instability

Avalanche

1 person partially buried when a loose dry stuff stepped down and took him for a ride through the trees. Broke on what looked like the new snow interface. Ran~200 ft. R1,D1. No major injuries and the victim self rescued before I got to him.
