Weather

No recent loading from what we saw. Granted we did not make it out of the trees onto the ridge. Likely some wind loading higher up.

Snowpack

Upside down snowpack about 140cm deep. Large thick layer of facets from the ground to 65cm up. Above this was a pencil hard slab for 25cm followed by a right side up snowpack to the surface. The interface between the deeper facets and upper snow (around 75cm deep) failed quite easily in tests. ECTP13 Q2, CT18 Q2. Concerning results, doesn't instill confidence for the rest of the season. Good chance for large avalanches to occur right now.
