Farm Cabin Dec. 5-7

Widespread wind-effect at treeline and above, all aspects. Upper snowpack was well-settled, producing fast skiing at all elevations. Steep south aspects were crusty from solar input and melting snow from trees produced variable surfaces below treeline. Surface hoar formation overnight below treeline, all aspects up to 1600m. No new avalanches or signs of instability were observed.

Valley cloud between 800-1100m.

Wind-affected open slope. Dug down 150cms. No crusts were found at this location. Moderate to hard resistant shears at old windslab interfaces at various depths.
