S-1, warm temps, low winds and OVC sky at 1030. Started to clear up a bit and stopped snowing at 1200 and then became OVC again and S1 snowfall around 1315. The wind remained very calm throughout this time period.

Snowpack

Approx 6" of new unconsolidated snow on all aspects we traveled on. BTL on S aspect was new snow on hard sun crust. BTL on SE aspect was considerably softer but still showed small signs of new snow not adhering to previous surface layer with small cracking on the uptrack and there was evidence of previous upslope wind. CT24 SC 40cm down on BTL SE aspect. It failed on top of a 10cm P hard layer.

Avalanche

Only small sluffing of the new snow off convexities observed
