Weather
Clear. Cold.
Snowpack
Dug a pit while ascending. Steep, open, North-northeast facing 11,000 ft. ECTP 14. Propagated at weak faceted snow near the ground (3-4 ft deep slab). Dug another pit further to the south-east before descending. No propagation but obvious weak layer at the bottom of the snowpack. Monsters in the basement!
Avalanche
Recent wind loading along with all the new snow. Lots of slides around Molas Lake, Kendall Mtn. All aspects.
