Clear, calm day.
Snowpack
35cm of storm snow. Evidence of wide spread cracking from 2/13 on all north through northwest facing slopes. Slope angles were right at or below 32 degrees. Cracks ran the width of the slope across micro-ridge features. Slopes not quite steep enough to slide with 90cm of snow on Jan 19 interface. 3 deep whumphfs were heard on the up track on a low-angle, west aspect with a 4th on the second lap in the same spot. No cracking was visible on the surface or in hand shears from whumphfs on this low angle aspect. Facets were moist below 2cm Jan 19 crust below 8500ft. Sun-affect on the surface of south through west aspects by the end of the day.
Avalanche
2 large avalanches likely from 2/13 on North aspect. One near treeline and one below treeline. Two additional smaller avalanches on east and north aspects below treeline.
