Weather
Light orographic showers and cloud cover combined with a swirling breeze kept the day rather winter-like.
Snowpack
Snow depths ranged from 120-150cm and was generally made up of the new snow over a thick, dense slab over weak snow near the ground. The new snow and slab formed over the past few weeks made up around 3/4 of the snowpack and was around 4 finger to 1 finger hard. I was able to get propagating results in a shallower pit (120cm) with moderate to hard taps, but got nothing in a deeper area (150cm) where the slab was thicker. In both pits, the weak snow near the ground is starting to bond and gain a little strength.
Avalanche
None observed.
