Snowpack
ridges were wind scoured and north aspect had soft snow, south to west aspects had a sun crust, without roller balls or other signs of weakening, no signs of instability noted during the tour (no collapsing or whumpfing), north facing aspects had very supportable snow with powder skiing in the trees
Avalanche
WNW aspect at 10800’, 34 deg slope angle, <TL, likely a natural slide sometime before the last storm as there was about 4-5 inches of new snow on the debris, crown height between 12-16 inches
