Slide Lake/Homestake Peak - 11,300 Clear and temperatures in the low 30's All aspects

Snowpack

Did not dig a snow pit. Lot's of whumpfing on shaded north/east slopes above 11,000 feet

Avalanche

Observed natural avalanche activity. 1. East aspect above Slide Lake appeared to have occurred on Friday the 9th or early on the 10th. Medium size and ran entire slope. 2. North east aspect off of lower ridge of Homestake Peak. Occurred in the middle of the slope and was small and didn't run very long. Occurred approximately 12:00 p.m. Saturday, 10/10. Sorry, for the late report but we were on a hut trip and recently returned. No photos or videos but thought I'd make a report.
