Snowpack
Monday through Wednesday, snow added about 27 inches of new snow to the snowpack. In our snowpit on a northeast-facing, we had a height of 16cm with a stiff (Pencil hard) slab sandwiched between two 1 Finger slabs. This snowpack lacked extremely weak old snow but had a couple of layers that were 4 Finger in hardness toward the ground. We noticed the rain November rain layer around 20cm from the ground; however, in a second pit on an east-facing slope, we only found a small portion of that crust. On our Extended Column Tests, we did not get any propagation results (ECNT16 at 101cm). A Column Test broke (CT16 at 109cm) within the new snow where there was a slight density change in the snow.
