We had a great day touring around the Bow Summit area. Our groups skied South Shoulder Chute, Flower Couloir and the South Slopes of Bow Summit. South Shoulder Chute we found no evidence of wind slab with approx 20cm of new snow with great skiing top to bottom. As we moved towards the Flower Couloir the wind slab was more prevalent and decided to ski down from approx half way. The wind slab was 30cm at the turn around point. The remainder of the group skied the south slopes of Bow Summit and found variable ski conditions. Where the wind had deposited the new snow good turns were found. On the more windward side there was more of wind crust that made for tricky skiing.

Dug a profile @ 2400m on NE Asp on a steep exposed slope below the South Shoulder Chute. Compression tests produced no results. Nov 5th crust was not evident above 2350m at this location.
