No avalanche activity observed while we were there, however there were numerous debris piles and crown lines from recent slides on north and south aspects of the Fryatt Valley, probably from the past week. We did an ECT at treeline on a SE aspect and weren't able to trigger anything with compressions. Prying on the column with a shovel produced a failure at about 100cm. Snow was heavy but skiing was still fun. The skin track to the hut is well worn and the Athabasca River is frozen solid.
