Short Steep and Sweet

We went skiing by Wells at Two Sisters today and found a supportive surface with some pow on top. The last few weeks we have been observing the persistent weak layer from December and that has us avoiding thin to thick transitions in the snowpack. So we are cautious near ridge crests and alpine slopes but in the trees where the snow height is uniform we are stepping out carefully. That step out had us enjoying skiing in steep open trees today.
