Approached the alpine via the Lovat trail. 5-15cm powder over a thick rain crust, ending at 1900m. At 2100m we dug a pit on a sheltered NE 35° slope. 155cm depth, 15cm of depth hoar at ground level. 20cm of fresh over a very uniform column, nothing reactive. Skied 30-35° lines in the trees, avoided the larger alpine slopes. Lots of wind deposition at ridgeline, no avalanche activity noticed.
