A warm and sunny day of sledding at Giveout creek. A thin breakable melt freeze crust was capping 30 cm of storm snow, which made for good sledding conditions but probably less friendly ski conditions. Below the 30cm of storm snow we found a thin melt freeze crust (Jan 11) which produced moderate sudden planar results in tests. We avoided steep slopes and overhead hazard. Overall a great day to get out and play! ?〽️
