Previous windloading on isolated terrain features, mostly at valley floor. Most terrain was eroded. cloud cover: clear; wind loading: previous; snow avail for transport: none

Snowpack

Targeting obvious wind slabs that formed during the recent wind event, I produced two collapses that spanned the width of the drift, about 20' to 30' wide, 4" to 10" thick hard slabs. Other hard drifts produced some stubborn, localized cracking once I stomped around and cut into them with skis. These were mostly at valley floor, and one on a flat ridge near treeline.
