Mt Whymper

Strong SW winds at ridgetops. We watched wave after wave of sluffs off the NE face of Whymper W1. By the afternoon it was 8/8 overcast and snowing at least 2cm/hr

5-10cm of fresh on a widespread 10cm slab. Found this slab on W and N aspects from 2100 to 2600m and all slope angles. Below the hard layer I was typically finding dense DF which made us feel a bit safer.
