While skinning across a cross loaded gully, I felt windslab underfoot. While reaching my hand in the snow to pull a hand shear the slab had enough energy to propagate roughly 10 m across the slope. Although a small slab, the resulting avalanche entrained a significant amount of faceted surface snow. No skier involvement.
