We had a burning desire to ski some fresh pow. We didn't notice any signs of instability or recent avalanche activity, after doing some digging and finding the Jan 28th PWL reactive in tests we stuck with our plan and skied lower angle terrain with no overhead hazard.

TP @2050m NE asp 34 deg slope in a 10x10m opening in burnt forest 20m below ridgetop HS 225cm CTM 17 SC down 55cm on SHxr size 3-4mm on top of a 3cm 1F+ MFcr. Suspect this is the Jan 28th layer. Hasty pit dug @1940m in flat opening in burnt forest BTL. HS: 245cm CTH 27 SC down 65cm on SH 4-5mm suspect also Jan 28 SH/MFcr.
