A walk in the park

A coastal classic cruise up Mt Elma today had us transitioning between icy skinning, ski crampons, and even a good ol' bootpack before we scratched our way back home. Surface conditions are surely firm, but we found nice sliding on mellow open slopes and, where steeper, marginally less painful turns under the canopy where trapped radiation maintained a somewhat softer, moist surface. Keep dancing for snow! Great to see a top up in the forecast.
