Locomotive Peak, Hurley FSR

We didn't bring sliding equipment, just went for a walk.

In the alpine the snowpack is a series of laminated crusts with facets. Test confirmed a very stable snowpack. The crusts held it all together. We saw the following heights of snow: 15cm @ 1400m, 35cm @ 1650m, 50cm @ 1800 m, 60cm @ 1900m, 75-90 cm @ 2200 m.

Saw evidence of a number of avalanches that likely occurred on Nov 4-5 when it got warm.
