Went for a quick fitness recon mission. Moist snow to ridge top (2300m) with S2-S3 in the pm. Heavy double pen upside down trailbraking. As expected, we observed whumpfing from the parking lot all the way to the top. Anything over 38 dg has run naturally. Failing on SH down 40-50 and stepping down to basal facets ( see photo). We remotely triggered one size 1.5 on N facing gully from 5m away on the ridge top. Kept it mellow in open slopes. BTL skiing was survival and wet.
