Wherever wind could fill out a N aspect, we rode 5-15cm of snow atop a crust. Snowfall had changed to graupel for about fifteen minutes, twice during the tour. A hasty pit on two wind affected locations on N aspects did not reveal signs of instability: the snow had not consolidated to slabs.
