Shades of Beauty

The last trip report recommended snowshoes, and we were wishing we’d had brought them or skis. Even with their track trail breaking was slow going through the deep snow. There’s some small cornice development on the right side of the climb. We observed blowing snow off surrounding peaks but winds were calm where we were all day. Clear skies and cold temperatures. Rick Black memorial wasn’t in.
