French creek - freestyle

Put in a confusing track into French creek today. About 5-10 cm soft but thickening snow on top of faceting lower layers in the lower areas, more supportive snowpack as we got further up the valley. Surprising amount of open water In the creeks Sorry to those who come up after , the day was a bit of a gong show in terms of route finding up. No great shakes on our part as the winds were loudly roaring from the uplands. We got about 500m up ( 1/2 way in elevation) and called it due to lack of interest in getting exposed to the blowiness above. If it gets any warmer before the next freeze up and dump, the whole valley is going to gave a new layer of concern to talk about.
