No slab was observed throughout the day in the backcountry at shames. A quick compression test show a weakness between yesterday new snow and the storm from the weekend (about 20cm of new snow over 40cm from the weekend) and a weakness over the rain freeze crust. The snow had a thin crust at elevation 900m+, and become wet below 900m. There was no wind in the alpine today.
