Apologies for late posting. Skied up East Boulder Creek road and forest to first 6000 foot peak on Sunday. Wind light S. Evidence of recent strong SW wind. Alpine temperature -12? Light snowfall all morning. Cloudy with small blue spots after noon. Hard trail breaking. 20 to 40 cm of dry powder over a firmer (4 finger?) and very smooth slippery surface. No whumpfing or cracking noted. One recent size 2 avalanche on steep NE wind loaded face with 1m+ crown. May have stepped down lower in the path. No other signs of instability. Skiing was pretty good.
