Lots of traffic in the Gorge area Saturday Nov 26. Profile (1100 hrs) at 1800m WNW Aspect 28 degrees HS 195 cm, air temp -2: Easy results (CTE 4 SP x 2) down 25 in the storm interface. Hard results down 89 (RP). We found the crust down 105 cm in the area observed - the crust / snow interface appeared well bonded (no results with DT tests). Continued touring to the ridge (moderate winds at ridgeline) and then carefully worked our way down. Overall the storm snow was quite reactive (touchy and widespread): shooting cracks, numerous skier accidental and skier controlled size 1's. It looked like the higher one toured, the more touchy conditions appeared (wind affect?). A good day to get out and stretch the legs but also being conservative and a bit humble. At the 15 k parking lot there was about 70 - 80 HS. Snowfree on the road at about 10 k.
