We skinned into the toes of Big Blue Glacier on Friday with the hope of skiing the say after. As predicted, weather was very cold and wind gusts up to over 50 Km/hr we think. There were very few places where the snow wasn't affected by the high winds. We've experienced a lot of very loud whumpfing on very low angle hills and even on small snow features created by the high winds. We did not even take off our skins, literally skinned in, camped, skinned out. Good winter camping practice but not the best weekend for snow stability or riding conditions!

Skier skied with pulk down slope and ended up too close to steeper side slope where there were a few shallow rocks. Remotely triggered very small slide.
