Snowpack

15" new snow last 72hrs formed 16" to 28" of transported soft slab developing to hard slab over crust from wind event on 4.22.18. Under the crust is the entire season's snowpack, hard slab to ground with a PWL of facets, especially near buried rock outcroppings. Total depth apprx 8'-10'

Avalanche

HS-AEc-R3-D3-O/G. ESE face at 12,700' near Ridgeline. Crown ht average 4'-6', near 8' at highest point. Triggered with 4# shot placed far lookers left near rocks. Propagated across slope to the right, estimated 600' wide, running full path and up rocks in apron.
