Weather

Obscured skies on top of the pass with moderate west winds blowing throughout the day. Light precipitation lingered adding another inch or two.

Snowpack

Below the 6-8" of new snow the old snow structure is weak and faceted to the ground. The only distinct layer still intact is the rain crust from late Oct resting just above the ground. The new snow has yet to form into a slab but will become more reactive with more wind-load and more snow tomorrow.
