Weather

Obscured skies with a few flurries in the afternoon. No accumulations. Winds were calm BTL and light NTL with not much evidence of drifting snow.

Snowpack

We traveled below and near treeline on NW/W/SW slopes. Below treeline there were no signs of instability and any slab is thin and soft. Near treeline the snowpack changed and the slab was much thicker. In areas ski penetration was only a few inches. Some collapsing but no shooting cracks. The time we spent near treeline was limited.
