Snowpack

The Height of Snow (HS) was over a meter at 10,000ft below treeline with 30-35cm of new snow. Snow profiles on east and northeast aspects below treeline showed new snow over a slab on top of facets or depth hoar. Extended Column Tests (ECTs) on northeast aspect produced ECTX, ECTN6@ 105cm and ECTP19@ 15cm. ECTs on east aspect produced ECTP17 and ECTP22 both at 45cm, the interface between a pencil hard slab and fist hard facets. I encountered some minor cracking on north and northeast aspects below treeline.
