Weather

The day started off cold from the TH with some light breeze and snowfall. Snowfall lessened and clouds broke briefly in the early afternoon with temperatures remaining cold.

Snowpack

The snowpack in this area has 3 distinct layers. Snowfall from before 11/23 which is weak and faceted near the ground. The middle of the snowpack is snowfall from 11/24 to 11/29. The Upper pack fell from 11/30 to today. Overall snow height was probed from 30 to 65 centimeters.

Avalanche

We saw a small avalanche across from us by the Mogul Mine. A slab released underneath a rock cliff and ran approximately 500 feet. The slab was not very thick but ran pretty far relative to its size.
