Sunny and Hot with an intermittent gusty SW wind. Intermittent cloud cover late morn into afternoon.

Snowpack

Surface refreeze softened up by 11am. The melt is on full force.

Avalanche

Numerous recent wet avalanches were observed on south, west, and north-facing slopes along the Ophir Pass road. They were all relatively small, D1-2's but I was off the snow by 12:30 before temps really started to get high. Notable WL slides on SW facing Lookout Peak, N facing Ophir Pass, and a WL that triggered a slab on W facing Ophir Pass. The heat is on and all steep slopes looked suspect to me today. My guess is that most of these occurred Saturday afternoon 3/26, but its possible some occurred on Friday 3/25. A few small WL occurred today on east-facing Sunshine Mountain and Wilson Peak, between 10am and 1pm.
